Mid-19th Century Caucasian style Kama-dolk type kindjal dagger typical of Tiflis in Georgia.
Traditional shape Ivory hilt, iron buttons and scabbard are righly decorated with zarnish inlaid gold ornamentation.
Markings: Arabic 19th century marking on the blade.
Condition: Very good original condition, showing some wear, minor chips on the blade as shown.
Provenance: Well known American auction, available upon request.
Reference: Similar dagger in the collection of the State Hermitage museum in St. Petersburg.
