WW1 Model 1914 Russian Imperial Airforce officer's presentation dirk For Gallantry decorated with a badge of the Order of St. Anne and made by the famous St. Petersburg bladed arms maker "Schaff & Sons."

Straight two sided blade tapering to a sharp point. Blade has etched depiction of Russian Imperial Eagle on one side and Emperor Nicholas II's cypher on the other both in rich ornamental vignettes. The blade is stamped with maker's name "Schaff & Sons" and 1914 date. The hilt consists of a black wooden handle with brass pommel which is surmounted by a ball and bears an Emperor Nicholas II's cypher and laurel leaf branch. A brass enameled WW1 era badge of the order of St. Anne is attached to the center of the handle. The wooden leather covered scabbard has brass fittings with Imperial Military Aeronautics badge of a winged anchor on the locket.
Condition:
Very good original condition, showing some wear. Some oxidation on brass parts and very minor corrosion on the blade. The St. Anne badge has small damage on the enamel.
