19th Century Russian naval presentation dirk "Golden Weapon" For Gallantry decorated with a badge of the Order of St. George.

The blade is straight slightly tapering to a sharp point. Blade has etched images of sailing frigate on one side and a naval anchor on the other, both in intricate vignettes. The brass grip has 13 cross grooves wrapped with twisted brass wire. The pommel is decorated with laurel branches. The badge of the order of St. George is attached to the end of the pommel. The S-shape brass crossguard bears inscription "For Gallantry" on both sides. The leather covered wooden scabbard has brass fittings decorated with laurel branches.
Condition:
Good original condition, though showing heavy wear and oxidation on brass fittings and minor corrosion on the blade. The badge has a minor chip on the cetral circle.
