Rare Russian Imperial Navy officer's presentation dirk with the inscription "For Gallantry" and the badge of the order of St. George.

The blade is straight with four facets and has point sharp on both sides with an etched image of the Russian Imperial eagle. The brass grip has 21 cross grooves. The pommel is decorated with laurel branches and a cypher of Emperor Alexander III. The badge of the order of St. George is attached to the end of a pommel. The S-shape brass crossguard bears inscription "For Gallantry" on both sides. The leather covered wooden scabbard has brass fittings decorated with laurel branches. Maker's mark of P. Fokin, Sankt Petersburg.
Condition:
Very good original condition, showing very minor wear. The badge has lost most of its painted image in the central circle.
