Russian Imperial Navy Napoleonic Wars era officer's regulation dirk. Ivory handle, silver fittings and scabbard cover. Scabbard is decorated with a cipher of Emperor Alexander I (reigned 1801 - 1825).
Description:
Single edged slightly curved steel blade. The hilt consists of an ivory grip with silver pommel in the shape of eagle's head and silver guard. The cross guard has a chain joining the guard and the pommel. Solid silver covered wooden scabbard is decorated with relief depictions of Russian Naval tropies and Imperial symbolics and the cipher of the Russian Emperor Alexander I.
Condition: Very good original condition, showing some wear minor corrosion on the blade. Unmarked.
