Named Russian officer's model 1881 presentation dragoon saber of the Life-Guards Lancer cavalry regiment with a badge of order of St. Anne 4th class for Gallantry and five badges for excellence in military arts, presented as the first prize for fencing in Royal presence.

Именная офицерская призовая сабля обр. 1881 года старшего офицера Л-Гв. Уланского полка с дамаским клинком, пожалованная как первый приз за фехтовальный бой в высочайшем пристутствии, с пятью дополнительными призовыми знаками и награждением знаком ордена Св. Анны 4го класса.

Damscus blade is etched with inscriptions: "Первый призъ Л. Гв. Уланского Е.В. полка ротмистру Назарову К. Р. 24го июля 1900 года. Лагерь подъ Красным Селомъ" (The First prize [of] Life Guards Lancer Regiment of His Majesty's major Nazarov K. R. 24th of July 1900 in the camp under Krasnoe Selo. Village) and "За состязание въ фехтовальном бою на эспадронахъ въ Высочайшем присутствiи" (For competing in fencing match on sabers in Royal presence), Russian Imperial eagle and the cypher of Nicholas II. The gold enameled badge of the order of St. Anne, 4th class is attached to the pommel. The award badges are: two badges "За фехтовальный бой" (For a fencing match); "За бой на 2х оружиях" (For fencing with two arms); Rifle shooting, 1st class; and a brass plaque "Императорскiй призъ за стрельбу изъ винтовки Л-Гв. Уланского Е. В. полка ротмистръ Назаровъ К. Р. 12 марта 1905 г." (Emperor's prize for rifle shooting Life -Guards Lancer His Majesty regimentmajor Nazarov K. R. 12th of March of 1905).

Condition: Superb original condition showing minimal wear. Minor cosmetic scratches and oxidation on brass parts, minor scratches on scabbard's leather.
