19th century Caucasian style Cossack Shashqua type silver decorated sword made in Cherkessia area of Caucasus.
Description:
The traditional shape hilt is partially covered with silver decorated with silver beading and niello in traditional Caucasian ornamentation style. The handles ate made of a Caucasian horn. The slightly curved single edged blade has barely visible original markings. The wooden original brown leather covered scabbard has silver fittings decorated en suite with the hilt.
Condition: Very good original condition, showing some heavy wear and patina on metal parts . Minor nicks and cuts on the leather.
