XIX century Caucasus Shashqua sword with Armenian silverwork and early German forged blade. Black Caucasian-horn hilt decorated with Nielloed Silver insert. Brown leather covered wooden scabbard has matching silver fittings profusely decorated with intricate nielloed botanical ornament. Early (17-18 century) lighthly curved hand-forged imported blade has German markings of a Sun, Crescient Moon and a hand with a sword.

Measurements: The shashqua is 37 in (94 cm) long, the blade is 31 in (79 cm) long and 32 mm wide.
