- The State Hermitage (St. Petersburg, Russia) A mother of all Russian museums and a true Mecca for any Russian collector. Established by Catherine the Great herself and served as Czar's residence for over 200 years.
- The State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia) - The Russian Museum collection contains circa 400.000 exhibits tracing the entire history of Russian art from the tenth to the twentieth centuries.
